We Appreciate Our Bus Drivers!

CCSD recognized its school bus drivers on Tuesday morning with a drive-through breakfast and gifts.  CCSD Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian Hightower, along with School Board Chair Kyla Cromer, School Board Vice Chair Robert Rechsteiner, School Board Member Patsy Jordan and Chief Operations Officer Dr. Debra Murdock  visited with drivers at two bus maintenance facilities, passing out Chick-fil-A biscuits as well as gifts from sponsors to celebrate National School Bus Safety Week.  Executive Director of Transportation Jim Georges and his transportation staff also worked the events and expressed their support for school bus drivers. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta sponsored breakfast, and drivers received gifts including candy, a CCSD water bottle, Menchie’s free menu item card, Chick-fil-A free menu item card, Marco’s free menu item card, and gifts from Credit Union of Georgia and Cherokee County Educational Foundation. #CCSDfam
